Netafim 55

Shimon Nataf, founder of Netafim 55, was born into a family of Tunisian silversmiths. After he himself attained a reputation as one of the finest silver artisans in Tunisia, he immigrated to Israel with his family in 1947. Establishing a Jerusalem workshop, Shimon taught his sons the exacting handicraft of making silver Jewish religious articles, a craft they now carry on as the family tradition. Their workshop produces candelabra, kiddush cups, spice boxes, mezuzzot, chanukiot, Torah shields and other objects, some reflecting the techniques and forms of ancient work and others reflecting modern trends. Many of their pieces are one-of-a-kind treasures that reside in synagogues and private collections around the world.
