This is a magnificent 1980 cut by Yehudit Shadur. In the center is the City of Jerusalem, surrounded by the Judean Hills - a heavenly city, the vision of perfect habitation, the House of David where justice and harmony prevail. The surrounding Hebrew text is taken from Psalm 122:

Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem, Jerusalem is builded as a city compact together. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; they shall prosper that love thee. Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.

The dark blue papercut (approximately 12 x 14 7/8") sits above two additional hand colored sheets that provide the gold, olive green, and pastel orange background. With this paper layering the artist has achieved a 3-dimensional effect that increases the impact of the intricately cut image. Signed (Yehudit Shadur) and dated (1980) in both English and Hebrew.

This suite of five paper cuts by Yehudit Shadur illustrates the Book of Job. The artist produced 6 of these suites for this ambitious project. Beneath the primary paper cut are various hand-colored paper fragments which provide the color. The artist has signed each of the five images in Hebrew and English on the lower margin in pencil. The five paper cuts will come with the artist's explanation for each one.

A border of flowers and vines placed on a deep blue field surrounds this delicate paper cut of flowers on their stalks with the printed inscription in Hebrew and English, May this home be blessed with joy and health, life and peace. The piece is numbered and signed in pencil by the artist on the lower edge. The print will be shipped in the gold colored frame shown here.

The Israeli artist Dany Azoulay has produced this fabulous cutout. Flowers and leaves surround the central panel with the text of a home blessing in Hebrew and English. The cutout is mounted between 2 clear glass plates that have been placed in gold colored metal moulding. (The black background comes from the panel on which we photographed the piece.) The artist has signed (Azoulay) and dated (2013) the cutout in pencil below the text.
