The Israel Museum reproduced a 1934 Soviet painting by the artist Vasili Kuptsov on this poster advertising its 1997 exhibition Propaganda and Vision: Soviet and Israeli Art 1930-1955. This is a magnificent image of a Soviet Union airliner(?) accompanied by fighter planes flying over Leningrad(?). A dirigible hovers in the upper right background and parachutes float all around. The museum, among the finest in the world, is located in Jerusalem. The poster is in excellent condition and will be shipped rolled in a tube.

Dan Reisinger has assembled long thin rectangular elements into the stylized shape of a harp with resonating strings to advertise a 1976 harp contest held in Jerusalem; a strikingly clever design. The artist's signature appears in the image on the lower right margin. The poster - to be shipped rolled and in a sturdy tube - has a pin hole in each corner, handling creases throughout, 3 approximately 1/4" tears on the lower left edge, one very small tear on the upper right edge and a few scattered minor dings. None of these minor defects detracts from the overall appearance.

A border of flowers and vines placed on a deep blue field surrounds this delicate paper cut of flowers on their stalks with the printed inscription in Hebrew and English, May this home be blessed with joy and health, life and peace. The piece is numbered and signed in pencil by the artist on the lower edge. The print will be shipped in the gold colored frame shown here.

This pin shows splendid workmanship with very fine silver wire whorls packed tightly within the heavier silver framework in a typical Yemenite style. The pin, in excellent condition, is marked Yerushalem (in Hebrew) which indicates it was crafted in the first half of the 20th c. before the establishment of the State of Israel.

Not only attractive, this ‘70's psychedelic poster also testifies to the power of American graphic style on Israeli advertising. A symmetrical art nouveau depiction of two women in the neon glow colors popular at the time advertise a Jerusalem gift boutique called Sheshbesh. The heavy paper poster is in very good condition with minor chipping along the edges and a small unrepaired tear at the lower left.
