 Jewish Museum of Vienna Poster
Neues Bauen in Tel Aviv 1930-1939: New Buildings in Tel Aviv, a Jewish Museum of Vienna 1995 exhibit. In Tel Aviv, the 30's was a decade of innovative architectural design. Fortunately, many of the buildings built in this period survive, although in generally poor condition, so that Tel Aviv is a city unique in its treasury of modernist architecture. Recently, renovations of these structures have begun. This poster is 33" x 23 1/4" and in excellent condition. Our correspondent in Israel (Charles Kamen) informs us that the building pictured stands on the western side of the Ayalon highway, near the new Tel Aviv central bus station at the corner of Derekh Hahagana and Golomb.

Price: $75.00

 Fiftieth Anniversary Tel Aviv Exhibition

Among the events marking the 50th anniversary in 1959 of Tel Aviv's founding, the city sponsored the exhibit advertised in this poster. The abstract design by S. Grundman (whose signature appears in the image) reflects the exuberance and modernity of the largest city in Israel and the major city of the Jews. The poster is a lithograph with areas of photo-offset lithography.

The poster is linen backed and in good condition. There are faint minor stains at various places in the image; a small section of the lower margin has been skillfully repaired, as have small tears located around the margins. These minor problems do not detract from the overall strong impression of the image.

height - 38"; width - 26 1/4"

Price: $1,000.00

The museum, among the finest in the world, is located in Jerusalem. The poster is in excellent condition and will be shipped rolled in a tube.
