This charming poster was designed by Asher Kalderon and was published by the Philatelic Services of Israel. A young boy is wearing the iconic kibbutz hat, but this case covered with stamps issued by the Postal Authority. Clearly the poster is meant to suggest to parents that they should encourage children in collecting Israeli stamps. That the language is only English, suggests the poster was meant for distribution in the United States and/or Britain. One interesting aspect of the poster are the embedded perforations that invoke those found in stamp sheets. (The photgraphic process makes them more apparent than seen on the poster itself.) The poster is undated, but a number of the depicted stamps were issued in the first half of the 70’s, which suggests publication circa 1975.The poster is in excellent condition.

An advertising poster for a performance of the psychedelic band University of Errors featuring the co-founder of Gong, Daevid Allen - the concert was held in the Barby Club, Tel Aviv on the night of August 17, 2010. The poster is in perfect condition.

Tooled leatherette bindings in the “Bezalel” style were commonly sold to tourists in Palestine and then Israel during the 20th C. Now they are primarily interesting as memorabilia from a bygone era This particular binding covers a photo album and comes probably from the early years of the State of Israel. Typical of such bindings was the beaten copper insert, which in this case has the image of David’s Tower as seen from outside the Old Jerusalem City Walls. The color is unusual in that more subdued browns or blacks were the norm. The copper plate has a notable dent on the right and two creases in the upper left; and the copper surface is oxidized as would be expected in a piece this old The pages are all blank and the tooled surface is in remarkably good condition. The string holding the pages and cover together is original and in good condition, though slightly dirty.

Below the Hebrew Birkat Habayit is the English text, “May this home be a place of happiness and health, of contentment, generosity and hope; a home of creativity and kindness. May those who visit and those who live here know only blessing and peace.” Decorative vines and flowers surround the texts. The print will be shipped mounted between acid-free boards.

This very contemporary mezuzah case is fabricated in Israel from aluminum. It’s anodized color is a strikingly unusual orange, and a stylized shin is on the front. The spherical knobs on top and bottom unscrew to permit insertion of the klaf. Functional with great design!

In 1982 The Israel Postal Authority issued a stamp that recognizes the education of children who have made aliyah. The stamp depicts a group of children in a circle dance and part of a student notebook with a writing exercise. Six charming images of children line the bottom of the poster. The poster is in excellent condition.
