This old Israeli pin/pendant has an Eilat stone set into silver. Stamped on the back is YERUSHALYIM in Hebrew. The marking and style suggest the pendant was crafted around the time of the establishment of the State of Israel.

This aluminum menorah can be arranged and rearranged by placing the individual, puzzle shaped candle holders in a variety of shapes. The pieces can also be packed into a square in order to fit within a covered wood box (included) for traveling. The height of the shamash, the tallest piece, is 1 ½”; the length and depth depend on how one arranges the pieces; but when put together in a straight line, the length is approx. 11”. A fascinating piece, designed by a gifted artist.

The JNF (KKL) employed modernist designs in the 60's for the posters they issued. This 1965 adertisement for the Maccabi Forest near Modiim is a marvelous example. Solid colored icons representing trees and an Olympic-style torch with a bright red flame sit on the paper's white background. The Maccabi World Union is the sports organization that, among other activities, organizes the Maccabi Games held every 4th year in Israel. Thus, this is an advertisement for two different fund raising organizations. The poster is in very good condition with handling creases and minor edge bruising. It is initialed (perhaps Z M) in the plate.

The Israeli silversmiths at Netafim have hand-crafted this charming sterling silver spice box. The container, which sits atop a delicate pedestal, is pierced with text taken from the blessing for the havdallah and is decorated with scroll work at both the bottom and the top, the latter hidden by the cover with its interesting knoop. This is a great gift for anyone just establishing a new home.
